A Miracle on the Night Road

The streets at midnight lay cloaked in darkness, pierced only by the weak glow of streetlights spilling onto the patchy asphalt. A middle-aged man with an old vendor cart was trying to cross a deserted intersection. The grinding of cart wheels on the road created a harsh sound, blending with the distant roar of engines. Suddenly, from a blind corner, a truck hurtled forward at blinding speed, its glaring headlights tearing through the night.

Death approached so swiftly the man had no time to react. He froze, his eyes wide with horror, his heart as if it had stopped. The massive truck was about to strike him and his cart. But in that critical, hair's-breadth moment, a miracle occurred. From the roadside, a figure appeared in a flash, reaching out to grasp the man's shoulder. In an instant, both the man and his cart vanished from the dangerous spot, reappearing safely on the sidewalk several meters away.

The truck sped past; the driver slammed on his brakes with a screech of tires. He jumped out, panicking, searching for the victim he was certain he had hit. But before his truck's hood was only empty space. When he looked up toward the roadside, he saw the other man sitting dazed, his face drained of color, his cart neatly beside him. Remarkably, the one who had saved him—if it can be called a person—bowed silently before vanishing into the darkness, leaving no trace beyond the utter astonishment of those who witnessed it through the camera.

This story, shared widely on social media, maintains the objectivity of its recorded images. It clearly illustrates the fifth characteristic that distinguishes the divine from humanity: Power. While humans are limited by physical laws, the divine possess the ability to "move mountains and fill seas," to manifest here and transform there, intervening in the flow of time and space to protect or to punish. These abilities far surpass the imagination of modern science, reminding us that this world is far vaster and more mysterious than what our ordinary eyes can see.

**The Meaning of the Story**

Through this example of a miraculous rescue, the lesson drawn is that the divine possess a transcendent power beyond human capability. The existence of such power affirms the superior stature of the divine in terms of authority. At the same time, it also opens our thoughts to the possibility that certain deities or enlightened beings are quietly present and aiding us in our lives, even though we are utterly unaware of it.
